Halloween Page

This is one of my favorite techniques for using the Bind-
It-All for a non-book binding project. I am always
trying to think of ways to use the Bind-It-All on my
layouts. Cut a strip of paper 1” wide. Then slip the
paper into the Bind-It-All and begin punching holes the
entire length of the strip of paper. Tilt the paper
between punches and continue punching to create an
“eaten away” look to the edge of the paper. Borders are
very trendy right now and this is a way to make your
Bind-It-All into a border punch! I used this technique on
Doodlebug Flocked cardstock on this page for a spooky
effect.

“Good Eats” Recipe Book

My friend Elena created a recipe book for a cookie
exchange last year using apron shaped chipboard
pages she cut by hand. Her idea inspired me to create
an apron shaped book myself. This book is a version I
am teaching as a class at Collective Journey in
Redlands, CA. The outside covers are shaped like
aprons and fastened together at the top with ½”
Antique Silver O-Wires.  The front cover flips over the
top to the back and creates an easel. To the back cover
I bound a regular 6x6 chipboard book with 1” Antique
Silver O-Wires to create the recipe book. Each page has
a pocket on the back to hold recipes.  I made the pocket
by using a 3x6 piece of chipboard. I lined 3 sides of the
pocket with thin strips of chipboard to raise it away
from the page. This allows a lot more room in the
pocket. I punched binding holes in the page and the
pocket separately and then glued them together. If
using the Bind-It-All V2.0 the pocket and page can be
punched at the same time.
“Together” Wall Hanging

I received a stock chipboard album from 7 Gypsies in a
monthly kit from Polka Dot Whimsy. Instead of using
it as an album, I created a wall hanging by turning all
of the pages side ways. I bound the pages with ½”
Antique Brass O-Wires. These wires perfectly
complement fall color schemes. I also punched a row of
holes in the top of the top-most panel. I tied ribbons and
fabric strips through these holes and then added a
vintage tassel to one side. To form the hanger, I super-
glued ribbon to the back of the top panel, sandwiched
between that panel and a scrap of chipboard. Then I
just printed 3.5” x 5” photos and placed them on each
panel, adding embellishments as desired.

Crown Book

I created this book for a class I taught at a local scrapbook store, Collective Journey, in Redlands, CA. The book is from Kasier
Craft and is made of wood with holes to be bound with binder rings. I painted all of the pages with paint and then punched holes
in each one using the Bind It All V 2.0 (Pink). It punched through the pages perfectly! I bound the book using 1.25” Antique
Silver O-Wires. I then covered the holes that were originally in the pages with paper and flowers. The o-wires allowed me to put
a lot more ribbons and charms on the spine of the book than the binder rings would have allowed. And the book is much more
stable having the binding along the entire edge of the book versus just two binder rings. You can adapt any store bought book to
be bound with the Bind-It-All the same way as I did here.
